Masturbator weight: product specification or shipping weight?

Correction note · October 5, 2026: The previous version of this article compared eleven models based on a value of 1,000 g stored in the shop. This value originates from a catalog field used for shipping purposes. It was not confirmed as the actual net weight of the toy for all of the models mentioned. The statements derived from this regarding handling, cleaning, and storage were therefore not sufficiently substantiated. We are retracting these weight comparisons.

Shipping field and confirmed product weight are not the same

Shopify uses the weight field to calculate shipping rates. However, an entry in this field is not proof that the figure for a specific model has been verified based on manufacturer specifications or an actual measurement. Even less so can it be used to infer a comparable material feel.

The Shopify documentation on product details explains the purpose of the field. For a purchasing decision, we additionally require a clearly assigned specification for the actual product.

Which specifications should you compare instead?

• Model number: Do the manufacturer specifications match the version being offered?
• Net weight: Is it clear whether only the toy was weighed, or if the housing, accessories, and packaging were included as well?
• Dimensions: Are product and packaging dimensions listed separately?
• Construction: Do the instructions describe which parts are detachable and how cleaning and drying work?
• Version: Is there a specific material or variant specification rather than just a fanciful product name?

As long as a specification is not confirmed, we treat it as open. Another value from a similarly named offer is not sufficient to replace the data for this model.

How to get a reliable answer

If a specific dimension or weight is important to you, send us the exact product link and the required specification. We will verify the assignment rather than deriving missing data from the price, photo, or name.
